Web Accessibility Sues and Settlements in 2014

Web Accessibility is gaining popularity in the digital market. Slowly businesses are identifying the untapped spending potential of people with disabilities. On the other hand people with disabilities began demanding for their basic rights without discriminating from their fellow citizens. Disability Discrimination Act of 1992External Website (Australia), Equality Act of 2010External Website (United Kingdom) and The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 1990 External Website and many other laws through out the globe are enforced to ensure that the goods and services are provided to individuals with disabilities without discrimination. Though many organizations already integrated accessibility into their project life cycle to ensure that the online and customer facing websites are accessible, still there is a long way to go.

As we are almost at the end of year 2014, have a look at legal cases, settlements and agreements in regard with digital accessibility across the globe.
